Welcome to the Maioha Studio website.  

I am the curator and creative director of this project.

As a wahine Māori, I have brought our respective skills, artistry and life journey together to create elegant, refined, abstract, contemporary Māori art pieces. 

My mahi toi (art) includes adornments, jewellery, objets d'art, and practical pieces that acknowledge the ancient and modern aspects of te ao hurihuri, the changing world. My inspiration draws on pūrākau (tribal legends), cultural heritage and spiritual legacies of our tūpuna, ancestors.

I am deeply inspired to create authentic, quality toi Māori for others to treasure. My art practice extends over 20 years. I am an award-winning, multidisciplinary artist and have exhibited nationally and internationally.
